Christmas at Rare-Extreme

Could that be snow on Rare-Extreme? Given the heavy snow being felt by the majority of Rare employees at the moment, its quite fitting that the website reflect this feeling.
Christmas is almost upon us and what a year it has been! Probably the biggest highlight for 2009 was my trip to Rare HQ!
News wise, the only new gossip for December is that Rare and Sega have both confirmed that Banjo, Kazooie and also Xbox Avatars will be in the upcoming Sonic & Sega Racing.
Rumors wise... word on the street is that Rare is making a sci-fi themed game.

Rare's Upcoming Natal Game Canned

The production of a game set for the launch of Natal began in August 2009 and was cancelled in November 2009. Not much is known about the project other than it involving the 360's Avatars made by Rare. The game was meant to have a year-long production but due to the "changing business environment", the project has come to an end. It's just one thing after another at Rare, and we the fans definitely wish them well after yet another cancellation. To read the full article just click this guy.

Natal Launch

According to MCV, Natal will be released in November 2010, expecting to sell between 30 and 50 Pounds in the UK and around 80 Dollars in the US. The launch will see an estimated 14 games of which Rare will be behind at least one of them. As to what this could be... only time will tell!

Competition Winner Announced

Our judges have deliberated and after much review, the winner of the Rare's Got Talent competition has been decided. Thanks to our judges, the one and only Berri (Louise Ridgeway, Super Uber Animator God of Rare), the stinky, the unflushable, Great Mighty Poo (Chris Marlow, the .net / C# / Build lab Guru who can also sing!) and our resident webmaster Wozza. The winner of our biggest give away to date is......BanjoBoy123 for his submission right here. Thanks to everyone else who entered!!
