This is just meant to be a bit of fun - looking back what do you think would've happened.
Well, back at the end of 2002 before the take-over - we were just getting Starfox Adventures on GameCube - and we knew Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Donkey Kong Racing were in development for GameCube - also Grabbed by the Ghoulies would've been in the works and probably nearing completion (we know now it was started probably in 1999 or 2000). So supposing the rumours of Rare leaving Nintendo turned out to be false and the partnership remained strong? Heres what I think (guess): -We would've had GbtG on GameCube around Q2 2003 - because there was no need to spend time porting to xbox and there wouldn't have been any delays/confusion. -Donkey Kong Racing - I don't know whether theres any such thing as Sabreman Stampeed or not - but it would've remained DKR - and as it was fairly advanced maybe Q3 2003. -Kameo wouldve probably been playable at E3 2003 and ready Q2 2004. -Its now quite obvious that Perfect Dark Zero wasn't at a very advanced stage - but without the change, maybe it would've been playable at E3 2004 and maybe we would be getting it around Q4 2004. And what other games? Well we wouldn't have got Conker Live and Reloaded because, well, theres no Live - and an update of CBFD wouldn't have stood up on its own. I don't think a new Conker game would have been something Nintendo would have encouraged - considering they didn't publish the first one - so no more conker perhaps? Not developer C:LR and without having to spend extra time converting games to xbox - would've freed up more developers. So I would guess the would have made "Banjo-Threeie" and "Donkey Kong 128" for GameCube - and/or maybe some new games - for release in 2005. What about handheld? The Donkey Kong Country series no change. We know that we would've got Sabre Wulf and Grunty's Revenge earlier because before they had trouble sorting out publishers. Those would've been probably in the first half of 2003 - along with Diddy Kong Pilot (now Banjo Pilot). Maybe they would've spent the extra resources now freed up on making Killer Instinct 3 on GBA and another couple of games - or maybe they would've just left it and dedicated more time to GC games. Isn't it weird now thinking about it? What do you think? -------------------- "The facts are: Starfox Adventures, Donkey Kong Racing and Perfect Dark 0 will deffinatly come to GameCube no matter what happens between the two companies."

Donkey Kong Racing looked better then Donkey Konga; Nintendo is screwing up Donkey Kong like EA is screwing up James Bond.

Well, Namco is contracted to develop. Nintendo still publishes, of course. I was expecting a different game than Donkey Konga from the likes of Namco.
But your predictions are very good. Personally, I think Grabbed by the Ghoulies would have been earlier, and Perfect Dark Zero would be one schedule to go up against Halo 2. |

Yeah, too bad none of that happened and can happen anymore. Rare was perfect when they were FULLY with Nintendo instead of PART with Nintendo as they are now. They're still great on Xbox, but would've been much better on GameCube...
And there is nothing wrong with Donkey Konga. Donkey Konga 2 has already sold over 7, 000 units in Japan since its release on Thursday! -------------------- |

The Japanese love that stuff you know. And still compared to something like Pokemon, those sales are low.

Donkey Konga looks kind of fun - but I'm really looking forward to Donkey Kong Jungle Beat - that looks incredable.

Care to justify that statement?

Rare is Rare they will be AAA now, like they were before. I don't think Nintendo had anything to do with Rare's quality. Nintendo just saw it and tried to keep it on their console. I think Rare working with Ken Lobb again is good for them. I have a strong feeling that Saberman Stampede was in production for the Xbox but got pushed onto Xbox2 along with Banjo Kazooie 3 and Perfect Dark 0.

Yeah i think so too. but one thing that bugs me is the whole conversion thing. its not that im not happy about it. but we could've had all that stuff already. maybe not as good as it will be but it still wouldve so good!
