1: I bet every jiggy is going to be reduced to an DK Banana Barrel fron DK64. It will be just sitting there in some room and you have to "jump into it" to be transported into some challenge arena involving the vehicle you're currently in. Yaaaawwwnnnn and repetitive!

2: Racing games will be fun I'm sure and will probably depend on how you built your vehicle but I bet experienced games will quickly figure out that vehicle parts A, B and C will allow you to finish every challenge in like 10 seconds and then we'll end up finishing the game with no challenge at all

3: The whole thing sounds like I'm playing Episode 1 Pod Racer where I get to customise and upgrade my vehicles through out the game to perform better. I don't want to do that thanks!

4: Multiplayer will no doubt solely involve vehicles, this could be either REALLY good and fun or REALLY crap. I rekon the way Rare's been going lately its going to be crap.

5: To a lot of people who played the original, they probably wont consider this to be a true sequel to the originals simply because every video and screenshot is going to have vehicles in it. It makes you think that this is just a spin off game

Rare, it might be a good idea to trim back on these developments and LISTEN to the people who are going to buy this game. How bout 50% classic platformer and 50% vehicles!!

It could go either way, from what we've observed so far. I have no doubt that the game will be excellent, Rare has yet to let me down even after all these years of supposedly 'mediocre' games.

My biggest qualm would have to be that of the vehicles... I just fear the nostalgia as well as the classic, epic level designs will be cut down so much. I as well, would of prefered a classic platformer with many new and exciting moves, such as Tooie Provided. I just foresee Kazooie as being a bird in the backpack now with all these new features.

The transformations seem to of been done away with, the classic boss battles, etc. I have faith in Rare, but one must admit, this is mildly disappointing. But only time will tell, the game will be top-notch, given not what we expected.

This game is going to be great Rare has yet to fell me there hasn't been a Rare game that has disappointed me ( besides Banjo-Pilot. ) I don't think the game will be easy to pass and what you said about how you get the jiggies King Jingaling sounds pretty false to me.

Well.... yes in all honesty you can still call it a platformer but with far different mechanics/methods than the original Banjo games thrived on (hence, different, hence, not the Banjo we were waiting for [no suggestions that this can't be good though, just simply stating we weren't waiting years to hear about vehicles] ).

After accessing my IE the other day I saw a link to the new Banjo game and promptly clicked the link, with my senses fully stimulated, this was something I have waited on for many many years now. I am now 35 years of age and played many iterations of the game numerous times on many different machines, after the web page had loaded up (Gamespot) the first thing that struck me was the name..esp.. NUTS AND BOLTS, UH OH, cue a little pine and whimper as this was it I thought this is gonna make my day, a video first of the successor to the classic platformer that many had regarded better than Mario 64 myself included. Even though Mario 64 was a truly class game with so many fantastic elements Banjo 1&2 had it all and more plus humour. Then it happened...on loading up the video my heart SANK Deeper than the Titanic.......
This was the end of mine and millions of other fans` love affair with the once beautiful franchise, they decide the way forward is to collect vehicle parts and custom build a transport machine of differing types to get you around the levels, no no no no this just isn`t right and is certainly not what this classic should become, a 3D Automania (Spectrum 48k, Google it). RARE decided and to quote “Need to Push the game to the next Level” BOLLOX!!!! My first response was and still is, THIS IS, AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND ALWAYS SHOULD BE CLASSIC PLATFORMING ACTION PERIOD!!!.
RARE I feel so strongly about this I don`t normally post on these forums but I am absolutely gutted to the core to see what you are doing to the game, this game should be 10% Vehicles 90% Platforming....it should be a little bit on the side shall we say and not a major part of it. Now I know that so many fans feel the same way I have read thousands of posts expressing their dismay and frustration about where you are taking the game, DON`T do this guys...you talk about a new fan base well prepare to lose most of your old if you continue down this road. Take time out and understand your fans and their views WISE UP!!!!.
This is not a 50/50 split amongst fans this is distraction on a MAJOR scale...Do the right thing RARE, give us what we want, I myself and millions of others are begging you..

well, this looks disappointing to me at least. I mean, come on, what happened to the fun platforming and amazing levels to explore concept of banjo and kazooie? I agree with skcrizz, it was great the way it was, and this fan isn't happy about the new changes.

This game won't be as good as the N64 games, they were classic. I'll probably rent this game first, but let me ask a question. If Rare is relying heavily on open-world exploration and vehicle customization as a big part of the game, why not just make a completely different game! I agree GazHill, this is NOT what Banjo Kazooie is about.

The reason i bought an xbox 360 was because of Perfect Dark Zero, i was expecting the same amazing quality from Rare as with its previous games, but i was let down by it and now this about BK.Since when was Banjo Kazooie about vehicles. Another indication Rare have lost it?

I REALLY hope this game is similar to the N64 games where your goal is to collect jiggies and not race around worlds with stupid vehicles. Look, at the end of the day, this is a Rare fansite, so you're obviously all fans. I can understand some of you are worried based on what you've heard, but just stop complaining and give the game a chance, you're not really being very helpful, and basing a lot of your claims on either partial, misleading quotes or speculation.

I've never played a driving game and liked it. I find them boring, tedious, and hard to control. If I wanna go fast or make things blow up, I play Sonic or Gunstar Heroes instead. So quite simply. If I hate other games of this kind, Why should I give this one a chance? Cause it's Rare? Don't automatically trust a company because you grew up with them. (Using Sonic as an example YET AGAIN.)

But there's never been a game like this before... It's not like Sonic, and it's more than just driving and I'm almost positive there's more to it than "go fast or make things blow up". Show me a game that's like Nuts and Bolts and tell me you've played it, then we'll talk.

And why shouldn't I trust Rare? They've released so many games back to back that made me piss my pants. I trust them because I've grown to love their games, and only once have they disappointed me . They still have my trust. What do you expect out of a Rare forum?

Will there be guns on vehicles? Yes. We've seen that in action.

Will there be guns while Banjo's making his rounds on foot? I don't think so. Kazooie will have the wand/wrench thing going on, but no semi-automatics for Banjo.

I don't think it'll be a poor game, but from what I saw of the video, I would like the next one to show more platforming action as a way to ease fears that the game will bomb.
