I recently found out about this event from Lupaie.

Supposedly it happens once a year since 2004. It mostly involves people coming up with ways to celebrate Banjo Kazooie's anniversaries. This year Lupaie came up with the idea to do a banjo retrospective through the eyes of Mumbo's Wand.
