Shane Kim, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, just announced after showing the new Nuts 'n' Bolts trailer that the original Banjo Kazooie is getting a release on Live Arcade as "a treat for the Banjo fans." Can't wait.
EDIT: The new version will have
"updated graphics and stop and swap."I'm sure everyone will be going ape
shit about that.

That's awesome! It will really help the sales of Nuts & Bolts if gamers new to Banjo-Kazooie can explore their origins on the same console. My 360 is going in a glass case when I get it back!

I was watching it live on the IGN website and thought that Rares videos where fantastic and cant wait for both Banjo N64 and Nuts/Bolts!

Aye, this whole banjo expirience is just shaping up to be amazing! I'm definitely psyched for both this release and Nuts and Bolts.
Bah, darn you Fur Fighter! You beat me to the post by a minute no less

Good to see you still lurk here and there though, nice to see you again sir.

More depressingly great Banjo news. Why did all this come out AFTER a got a Wii.
But Stop N Swop wow. They finally stopped tourturing everyone.

I just thought of something.
Maybe if you complete the stop n swop challenges in the XBLA games when they are released, you might get some extra goodies in banjo N&B.

I'll raise a glass to that Mako! The banjo craze is back on with Nuts and Bolts and the original coming to an 360 console near you soon!

I'm going to venture a guess and say it SHOULD be about 10 bucks worth of Microsoft Points, but what do I know, eh? I'm glad it's mostly another team porting the N64 classic, as I want Rare to continue to put their creative efforts into making new experiences for me to enjoy.
The only way I'm really bothered by a remake is if they add nothing new to the experience, kinda like how Nintendo did with the Super Mario Advance (port to GBA) series. I'm looking forward to the connections to Nuts & Bolts, I hope Rare managed those parts though, and maybe a few tiny new-bits if just to make old Rare veterans like me happy.
AND NOW, FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT:

God knows I won't be doing that sort of thing with my girlfriend*.... Weirdo.

It's great! But I just know I'll like the N64 version a LOT better.
But after this I want a little break from Banjo for new, exciting platformers from Rare. Something along the lines of I don't know, a *COUGH*TipTUPGaME*COUGH*. Or perhaps a Timber game. Or a new character platformer.

My guess is the game will be about 500-700 MS Points.
I sure hope so actually, that would be a LOT more value then the track pack downloads for Guitar Hero.

No way, I want it to be exactly the same as it was before. Unless the new bits you're talking about are not gameplay wise, eg: some cool video's.

This is probably going to be the best year that Rare ever had!!! I cant hardly wait for BK: N&B and there going to remake Banjo-Kazooie for Xbox Live Arcade with better graphics and with Stop N' Swop it's a dream come true fellas.

Well, no more stop n swap theories eh? Guess the online world of rare will come to a halt and explode. It'll be pretty sad. I don't care to know about it either.

I can't wait to get my hands on this

I'm actually more excited for this re-release just so I can play the original again than I am for the new Banjo though it follows close behind as it is a brand new game by Rare hehe. I'm not so doubtful on Nuts & Bolts anymore after seeing more and more over time, it seems like there will be parts that will tie back to fans of the old games and something (well, a lot really if you look at it

) new with the whole vehicle thing.

I'm glad to see that Rare/Microsoft have really thought this out as to make Banjo-verse more acessable for Xboxers who may never have met our heros. I'm still wanting to see a bit of it in action, but overall- I'm not nearly as excited for the ports of old (while still awesome) games I have in my N64 bin as I am for Nuts & Bolts / Trouble in Paradice. I've got a buddy on Live I KNOW will fall in love with Banjo's world, and that makes me happy for bringing another Rare Fan into the colective. JoIn Usssss...... HiSSSsssssssssssssSSSSSSsssssssss....
Paulie (Who has me imagining the Pretztail should be your avatar)- Hmm? Goodness, I DO want additional, not replacement stuff in the ported N64 Banjo classics. I want the core game to be (mostly) untouched, but why not add more new stuff to the mix? I think that most people here would be THRILLED with more traditional Banjo platforming with all of the
bitching constructive criticism that Nuts and Bolts has recieved. Maybe each world in Banjo-Kazooie could be given a Boss Battle, or something like Tooie had? You
really wouldn't want something like that, man?
Jimbo- ME, A Porn-bot?! Whatever gave you that wacky idea?...

I heard about this a while ago and am totally psyched. I SO want a 360!!!
I think I may be able to bribe my Mum into getting the family one for Christmas... How will I bribe her? With the thought of playing a new Banjo (and old Banjo with SnS!)

don't bribe her, threaten her!
I'm so happy Banjo's coming on to the arcade, simply because I can't bear seeing the n64's blurry graphics on my HDTV.

You know rare themselves will not be making this game. instead it'll be ported by an external third party developer which has yet to be named.

The develoer for the port is named there, it's the same group who potted oblivion to the PS 3, so the games in good hands

It's a good thing it's being ported by a third party developer. Gives Rare plenty of time to think about making Perfect Dark Again and Grabbed by The Ghoulies S'more.

No. I'm completely not serious about another GBTG. But they do get more time to work on other projects, one of which I pray is another Perfect Dark.
