$399.95, on December the 7th 2006. And yes, it includes Wii Sports.

They haven't updated the Australian Wii site yet, but nintendo.com.au has the info on it's home page.

This question should maybe be in the rareware forums, but will past rare games be on the Wii's virtual console?

I don't think so, atleast not any Rare games that the company owns the IP(s) of. These include Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark. Basically, the only Rare games that will be on the virtual console are the Donkey Kong games that the company made, which include the Donkey Kong Country series, Diddy Kong Racing, and Donkey Kong 64.

I'm stunned, Australia actually makes the worldwide launch...

I'm not too keen on the pricetag, but getting a free game by pre-ordering [Toys 'r' Us] solves that.

$400? Seems a bit high for old hardware.

I'll get one if the price drops. I don't like the launch lineup except for Twilight Princess.

That is surprising. Maybe The yanks are finally taking notice of the Aussie market.
