I agree entirely. I've never seen how it actually plays before now, just intriguing screenshots and the announce trailer. It's a shame that it's followed Crackdown's lead, and skipped the 2006 fence into next year though, but it certainly looks great.

But now that I've just watched the E3 2K6 gameplay demo at
Gametrailers...DAMN! There's great quality visuals and lighting, some fantastic humour, this chugging guitar that kicks in whenever you activate your powers, then the tentacles picking up cars and objects and hurling them, Darklings crawling through pipes to get to people and open the way for your character. A lovely, gritty setting. This is looking HOT, and I haven't even finished watching the clip! Haha, an effect of the lead activating his power is that he can see in the dark, too. Cool.

Hmmm, hope they have time to look at that AI, because other than that it looks quite promising (apart from the tentacles being wayyy too much in the way of the view, imho).
